Summary
The Ammo Box Speaker V1 was born from a conversation with a friend who reminded me of a cool project idea: building a set of speakers inside an old ammo box I had acquired from a museum. The idea of repurposing something with history into a functional and unique speaker was too exciting to pass up.
While working on this project, I focused on creating a compact and stylish speaker system that maintained the rugged look of the original ammo box. The result was a functional piece of audio equipment that not only sounded decent but also looked fantastic, with its vintage military aesthetic from the inside, and like a normal ammo box from the outside.
Since then, I’ve created a second version, the Ammo Box Speaker V2, which features improved bass and overall louder sound. However, the first version still holds a special place for me, and I believe it remains the better-looking of the two. It still exists today, serving as a testament to the success of that initial project idea.
